We started in June of 2024 with the goal of bringing fun and creativity to both children and adults through unique candle-making experiences. Our operations are based out of Ladson, SC.
The idea for Make A Candle originated two years ago when I was at a festival in NC with my family and encountered the concept of using wax that looks and feels like sand. This sparked my interest, and after extensive research, sourcing, and experimentation with various waxes, dyes, and scents, I decided to launch the business.
Our first event was The World's Grit Festival in April of 2024. Since then, we've expanded significantly, now offering our services for festivals, birthday parties, family gatherings, and corporate events. While South Carolina was our sole region until June of 2025, we've since expanded into Ohio and have plans to grow into many additional states within the next two years.
Local Shows
We're excited to let you know that Make a Candle participates in over 35 festivals, fairs, and arts and crafts shows annually! We'd love for you to join us at one of our upcoming events.
At our events, you'll have the unique opportunity to create your very own candle, choosing from at least 15 different color and scented waxes. We truly enjoy interacting with festival attendees and seeing all the creative designs you come up with using the tools we provide.
